Dr. Chad Brandt

Co-Founder, Clinical Psychologist

Since the beginning of his career, Dr. Chad has always taken a more kinetic approach to therapy. After working with many boys and young men through his other practice, which specializes in treating OCD through immersive, in-person therapy, Dr. Brandt saw a need in the mental health field to help boys in a different way. Applying the comfort and convenience of in-home treatment with an active style of therapy sounded like the perfect way to meet the needs of boys. As a boy himself, Dr. Chad also finds it hard to sit still sometimes!

Dr. Chad was born and raised next to all the fun theme parks in Orlando, Florida and moved to Houston, Texas to pursue his PhD. This is where he met his beautiful (and bossy) wife and they are now living the busy life of parenting three young kids - including two boys with their own unique personalities.

Dr. Chad is a big kid at heart. He loves Pokémon, drumming, board games, and is always down for a game of catch.

Wes Yu

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

I’m Wes, and as one of The Boys, I’m dedicated to making Therapy for Boys feel less like a clinical appointment and more like a path to resilience. I work with adolescent guys as they navigate the stress, identity shifts, and relationships that come with growing up in today’s world. I get that being a teenager can feel confusing and overwhelming. My style is practical and down-to-earth, and focus on helping guys build emotional resilience and skills they can actually use in their everyday lives.

I started my career working with teenage boys in juvenile corrections. It didn’t take long to realize that underneath the tough exterior, most guys just want to feel seen and understood. That experience taught me that real growth begins with feeling safe, followed by steady, consistent support. In my sessions, I blend honest conversation with practical tools for managing emotions, communicating better, and building self-respect. My goal is to help my clients feel more grounded at school, at home, and in their relationships.

With the constant pressures of technology and social media, I help boys build self-awareness and healthy ways to connect. For parents, this means working with someone who understands what your son might not be able to say out loud. At times, I’ll also collaborate with parents to offer guidance, while always respecting your son’s need for independence and privacy.

As a parent myself, I know how much you want to support your son and how tough it can be to know when to step in, and when to let go. I believe that with the right kind of support, every boy has the opportunity to grow into a confident, emotionally resilient young man.

Mother, 13 year old boy

"My son’s principal and teachers are shocked, he’s got a whole new attitude in the morning going to school, is sitting at the front of his classes, is staying on task, raising his hand with questions, interacting with kids."

Mother, 18 year old child

"Dr. Brandt did exactly what he said he would do for our [child] – gave [their] life back. It’s hard to express the depths of our gratitude to him, and I’ll thank him again in this note; his ability to successfully execute this treatment is astounding."

Mother, 17 year old boy

"[My son] is much more engaged seeing Dr. Chad in our house than he ever has been in an office. And I love that therapy with Dr. Chad isn't just about talking, there are always skills and things for my son and myself to work on."
